SANTA CRUZ 5K, 10K, Half & FULL MARATHON
Race ROUTES

Start/Finish Line: Corner of Delaware Ave and Natural Bridges Drive

Turnaround Points: Provided for 5K/10K/Half & Full Marathon (see below)

Start/Finish LINE: Corner of DElaware Ave and Natural Bridges Drive


5K route

You will run approx 1.55 miles out to Woodrow Ave (and W Cliff Dr) and return to the start

 
  • Start at the corner of Delaware Ave and Natural Bridges Drive

  • Head east on Delaware Ave and turn right on Swanton Blvd (towards the ocean)

  • Head east onto W Cliff Dr (the ocean will be on your right) until you reach Woodrow Ave

  • Turnaround at Woodrow Ave and head back to the start


10K Route

You will run approx 3.25 miles out to Main St (and Beach St) and return to the start

 
  • Start at the corner of Delaware Ave and Natural Bridges Drive

  • Head east on Delaware Ave and turn right on Swanton Blvd (towards the ocean)

  • Head east onto W Cliff Dr (the ocean will be on your right) and take a right on Beach St

  • Head east on Beach St towards the boardwalk until you reach Main St

  • Turnaround at Main St and head back to the start


Half Marathon ROUTE

You will run 2 loops, the South Loop to Main St (and Beach St) and the North Loop (through Wilder Ranch State Park) and return to the start

 

South Loop

  • Start at the corner of Delaware Ave and Natural Bridges Drive

  • Head east on Delaware Ave and turn right on Swanton Blvd (towards the ocean)

  • Head east onto W Cliff Dr (the ocean will be on your right) and take a right on Beach St

  • Head east on Beach St towards the boardwalk until you reach Main St

  • Turnaround at Main St and head back to the start

  • Continue north on Natural Bridges Dr to Mission St

North Loop

  • Turn left and head west on Mission St and head into Wilder Ranch State Park along the bike trail until just past Meder Creek

  • Take a right and head south towards Coast Rd

  • You will see restrooms and a parking lot (there will be a water stop near the restroom)

  • Follow the trail down towards the ocean which will take you past Wilder Beach Overlook and Fern Grotto Beach

  • Right before Little Strawberry Beach take a right and head back up north towards the restrooms and parking lot

  • Follow Coast Rd back up northeast and retrace back to the start


FULL Marathon ROUTE

You will run 4 loops, 1x the South Loop to Laurel St (and Laurel Street Extension), 2x the North Loop (through Wilder Ranch State Park), and 1x through the South Loop, before returning to the start

 

South Loop

  • Start at the corner of Delaware Ave and Natural Bridges Drive

  • Head east on Delaware Ave and turn right on Swanton Blvd (towards the ocean)

  • Head east onto W Cliff Dr (the ocean will be on your right) and take a right on Beach St

  • Head east on Beach St past the boardwalk

  • Beach St will turn into 3rd St

  • Follow 3rd Street north until it turns into Laurel Street Extension

  • Follow Laurel Street Extension north until Laurel Street

  • Turnaround at Laurel Street and retrace back to start

  • Continue north on Natural Bridges Dr to Mission St

North Loop

  • Turn left and head west on Mission St and head into Wilder Ranch State Park along the bike trail until just past Meder Creek

  • Take a right and head south towards Coast Rd

  • Repeat the following loop 2x

South Loop
